Dear readers,

We want to use this issue of Logistics People to continue shedding greater light on our Rhenus values – that is to say, what is the lifeblood at Rhenus. Continuity is the focal issue this time.

Rhenus is a long-standing company – after all, it has been operating for more than 100 years and has its roots in shipping on the river Rhine. However, this does not mean that the logistics specialist is anyway near being outdated! On the contrary: the company is taking great strides to break through into the digital age and is bold enough to adopt its own very individual course here. The two Members of the Rhenus Group Management Board, Michael Viefers and Michael Brockhaus, talk about how they reconcile continuity
and progress and speak about change and innovation within Rhenus in the section entitled “In Greater Detail“.

In our view, continuity does not mean simply perpetuating what we have always done in the past. We want to develop new solutions for our customers, get to the bottom of things and finally implement ideas. We have been particularly successful in this during the last few months when it comes to establishing Europe’s first e-truck fleet. You can find out exactly how we have achieved this in our brand-new section entitled “New@Rhenus”. You can read there how Rhenus Trucking is setting new standards with regard to e-mobility by purchasing six electric trucks.

We trust that you will be stimulated by what you read and enjoy our reports from the Rhenus world.
Kind regards,
